Dr. James G. Munger, Ph.D., MIFireE, CFPS, has been qualified as an expert witness in various state and federal courts in the areas of fire/arson investigation, natural and LP gas systems, fire prevention, fire related human behavior, fire alarms, smoke detectors, automatic sprinkler systems, inspection and code enforcement, building and fire codes, products and materials testing procedures and standards. He has also been accepted by the General Services Administration and the Department of Defense as a Fire Safety Consultant. |
| He served from 1992 - 1996 on the Cullman City County Place Two. This position is specifically responsible for overseeing the municipal fire department operations. Serve as Chairman of the Fire Committee and in this position oversaw major improvements in the quality and level of service which the department provided. He also served from 1992 - 1996 on the Board of Directors for the Cullman Jefferson Gas District. |  |

In the case of Carruth v. Pittway Corporation, a case which was appealed from the Blount County Alabama Circuit Court (CV-91-085), to the Alabama Supreme Court (October Term 1993-94 1920904) the court said "Given the totality of Munger's experience and training, we are persuaded that Munger possesses the qualifications to testify as an expert in matters of fire science and technology." Mr. David Munger, CFEI had been qualified as an expert witness in various jurisdictions in various ares of fire protection, investigation and codes. |
